What is the difference between PHP and HTML?

Can some one explain me and which one should be "mastered" first?

Well HTML is really really basic thingy and u must know it if you want to learn something more.. and
PHP is a powerful server-side scripting language for creating dynamic and interactive websites.. and umm.. and like i said.. you must learn HTML first and then PHP ;)

Trying to program in PHP before knowing HTML is kind of like trying to read a book and not knowing the alphabet.

Basically, HTML displays content on a page, PHP generates complex content.

Very well put! HTML is very simple and you can probably learn it in a couple of days if not faster.

1)HTML is a markup language while PHP is a scripting language
2)The output of PHP is usually in HTML code which the browser can then interpret
3)HTML codes are static and they are always the same every time they are opened while PHP files are dynamic and the output might not always be the same
