I noticed that lots of folks I know are using the paid to surf craze as a means to get their business noticed. What do you think about all this? Do you think it is a good idea or not?

I've used stumbleupon.com to get people to this forum. They use a "targeted" method of getting only people interested in your website topic to visit the forum. They generate great traffic for cheap but had a very low conversion rate. In the end my ROI was very poor. That is not to say I wouldn't use them again.

I don't think paid to surf may work lol, as people never look at the sites they surf. As I have done once. lol.

Why surf them then? Do you accumulate points for surfing?

Oh yeah!! I am expert at this:
Some auto-surfs or surfind sites offer incencitives or credits for surfing the people sites, so many people join with the intension of getting some $. But the problem is that 70% of these surfing sites result in a total scam and members lost their time.
Currently i joined to a surfing site where i have to invest some $ but i get more in some days:
E.g: I invest 0.50$ then i have to surf like 20 sites a day(auto-surf), when im done with that ammount i get 5.5 cents every day. If i do that daily i can get a lot. But there is a limit, my 0.50$ upgrade is just for 13 days so in 13 days i will be getting around 70 cents.

20 cents for wasting some time.
I think those are HYIPs and That's one crazy way of earning money. I never trust any of these easy money business except some non-easy ways.

An excellent manual surf site also is Nocs! for advertisers.. Not only do those who complete these offers visit your site; but they must answer a question that pertains to you site to receive credit fo their visit to your site.

Have you heard of them?

Not heard of it but, All these really give some Pageviews for the site but nothing else. :(
I tried some and something like surf exchange, we surf and get points. We use points to advertise our site. But not one registered @ my forum. And Google ADSense hates these things.

Yeah it's not going to work. I did it and I never looked, and even if people do, they aren't going to spend money on something.

With my experience in investing in autosurfs and Hyips i can say that no one can really from it. About 70% of them are scams and if they are not they will become one in about a months time. So i think that with these programs there are more chances of you loosing your money, forget about earning.

Yeah they are definitely not productive, especially for businesses, because nobody is going to buy anything.
