I never had any problem before but I cannot get the white active desktiop recovery to work..My computer is showing active desktop recovery.when I click "restore active desktop" some errors occur..What do I do?

I would try a System Restore back before it happened.

I tried and it still came up with the white background and inactive desktop status:(

So your desktop is showing that white background with text? Why not Re-applying the background wallpaper? Once that happened to me, I re-applied the wallpaper and everything worked fine!

Or, mybe try this.
goto.
R.Click>Desktop>Properties>Desktop>Customize Desktop>Web> tick off anything there.

I always wanted to know how to do that too: little..so I am glad to all those who posted possible remedies to the problem. Thanks to all the technicians here!
