Why are mac computers so different then others when dealing with various programs or servers?

Well First of all Mac uses TOTALLY different methods ( like Binary structure etc.. ) then IBM computers ( The common computers we use at home ) They won't let you install Windows on them ( you can but its more difficult, because you need to emulate it )
They are much more powerful than IBM
They are different too, because the MAC wanted to make everything on it's own, their own software, their own hardware etc.. not like IBM
And several other differences

It explains it all ...Macs use a different software and binary code and thus it makes it difficult to operate some programs. that are not mac compatable

I have a friend with mac and he says it doesnt really work well with other progams?
