You have to get them to come to you, not the other way around.

You can post on forums as well. You can get a lot of buyers just by saying "I have ad space for sale"

Advertise it on your site, email, etc. Post on forums that allow it and send out a newsletter to all of your current members.

Thats what i get a lot of also. I posted on DevShed. Which you cant really advertise there, but you can get around it and post in the Site Reviews. So i got one reply, from a guy that wanted to talk to jordan about how long it took to get the forum active.

You have to let people know that you have advertising space to sell. There are several places to do this (you can find one of them in my signature), but you will have to ether have a high PR or constantly getting a good amount of traffic.

I get a lot of requests for link exchanges, but never requests for link buys. If your site is really good, you will get a lot, but if it's not, you can still get people to buy by promoting yourself.

What is your website address? I may be interested in buying links!

saf - why not advertise here on CC?

You should also display your stats so that users can see how many visitors you get. This may (or may not) entice them to advertise.

Or, tell them your PR and show them some high placements on Google (as an alternative, if you do have high placements). That's what I'm doing, since I only get like 130 uniques a day.
