So I received my Visual Studio Pro today which I ordered from PC Connection yesterday using ground service. Fairly fast turn-around service! This is for work as I do a lot of development at work using C++ and C#.

My overall impression was very good. I like the packaging - nice looking dvds, a hard case to hold all of the cds (inside is flip pouches), a nice little book and two posters.

The posters, however, are junk compared to what they used to be. I remember back in 03 or 04 when I received my VS 2003. This package came with 4 posters which were fairly imformative and contained a listing of the namespaces. This time around there is one that has little information that applies to me (a little box of namespaces) and another poster with a bunch of ads for books. To top it off, on the other side of each poster is a cartoon figure. One is Mr. Infinity and the other is Mr. Knowledge or librarian or something. This is complete crap.

I've yet to finish install because it took around 3 hours at work and then hung. I brought it home with me and am installing it again now so I'll keep you posted. Minus the posters, I think this was a good package.
