I've seen a lot of software websites include forums on their websites so that users could discuss their products. I think this is a good idea and a great way to track bugs. Do you guys think a forum hurts your website or makes it better?

Having a forum on your site is of course going to be beneficial because it will attract more and more traffic to your site by reffering. It is hard to get going but once its up it will always benefit your website. Also it is a good idea to have it as a support for the software cause I mean face it, wouldnt you like it if you had someone to help you?

I think adding a forum is a good idea but it does require a lot of time. Getting users to join and post is the hardest thing to do.

Yeah, must know what type of visitors come and target them and make Categories for them. And attract more people of that kind to your forum and do this a lot of times. I got 50-100 Page views per day but something went wrong and I lost my domain.
