What are some of the best ways for offline promotion of software? I've put an add in the paper (but have no way of actually tracking conversions) and I've put signs up around the block. I was thinking about putting decal on my car. Then again I can't see my ROI because I can't track any of these. Anyone do any offline promotion, if so, how do you track it and what was your ROI? Did you do it again?

Well, you can just see that if your conversions or sales or whatever goes up during the period that your advertisement is in play. Also, you can ask customers how they found your site.

Put it in the newspaper. Get flyers, use car decal (spelling?) and have business cards. All great and cheap methods of promotion.

Flyers, Decal, Business Cards - these are all great ways of offline promotion. Try to get your software listing in magazines as well. Tell people you know that are interested in it and create a viral market scheme.

Writing your website on the walls of bathrooms, writing it on dollar bills, wearing a shirt with your website. Those are the three Ws of success.

Then, very simply, just don't get caught. Don't get caught oh yes oh yes!!
