This was odd, I was running a virus scan, and then it goes through all these programs, like "trojan.exe" and other trojan files. It also went through "sex toolbar, "sexxx", and other sex stuff. Trust me, I hadn't downloaded it. Oh, and it turned up something called keylog, which couldn't have been good. The weird part was it didn't count any of it as a virus. Weird, aye? So, how do I remove that stuff if the virus scanner doesn't?
Funny virus scan

wow, where did it find all of that stuff? I'd go to the files and delete them. You may also want to run a spyware checker like adaware. They have a free version.

Well I did another check a few hours later and then it turned up 223 viruses. Wonder what went wrong the first time.

A lot of them were just tracking cookies, and were only a mild threat, but there were 2 or 3 serious threats. Yay!

I remember on my old comp, if I turned on the computer and didn't do anything for like 3 minutes, so many ads would pop up that it would freeze and I'd have to restart. I had to be on alert to exit the ads so there wouldn't be so many. My comp was BOMBED with Adware. Then I got Spyware Doctor, and all my problems went away.

I have Spyware Doctor too, and I think it works great. You have to pay $40 for it, but of course, there are unmentionable ways around that.

Old thread, but here's my $0.02
It's possible that the program was simply showing what it was scanning for, not what it was actually scanning. I believe that Spybot Search & Destroy does this. :)
