Yeah, MSN is very fast! No one uses it to search though...... What position are you in and for what phrase?

Yeah MSN doesn't consider time when they index and rank pages, so that's good news for new sites, but bad news for old sites, because new sites can easily outrank them.

Actually over 20% of searches are conducted by MSN, and considering the number of people searching, that's a lot. And MSN doesn't have a time filter, that's why new sites get up so fast.

I forget where I read this, oh wait, it was WordTracker. They said that 44 million searches are conducted with MSN every day. I think that's pretty good.

This has been my experience with MSN. They seem to rely on on-page factors quite a bit, so my sites rank pretty easily near launch. The rankings generally don't last.

MSN may not have a huge amount of market share, but they can still send quite a bit of quality traffic. I've heard a lot of people say that traffic from MSN converts better. I wouldn't ignore them.

The rankings don't last? I hope they do, because I'm doing real well with them. And MSN is still in the top 3 search engines, and they can still send large amounts of traffic if you're optimized for the right word.

I read that only 9% of searches are done through MSN!
Still that is millions of people, so its definitely great to rank well there.

Really? I was almost sure it was 20%, and that makes more sense than 9%. Surprisingly, the majority of people still use IE, and the default opening page for IE is an MSN search.

Yeah, MSN really needs to step up their game in stopping spam sites. I forgot about the MSN messenger thing, but I've never conducted a search through it and until now (I just looked) I didn't know there was a search bar. Now I see it, I see it.
