How do most you get beta testers for your new software? The only way I have gotten beta testers is by asking people who have purchased the software already if they would like to beta test new version.

That is a good idea, have you thought about issuing a press release inviting people to test your software?
That would be a good way to whip up some PR for your new product, as well as get a wider range of beta testers.

I do the same as you Crane although most of mine will ask me. I send a newsletter out to every customer about the beta and ask if they would like to Beta Test. A lot will reply yes.
Press Release would work just as well IMO. You have to offer them something in return though, like a free license.

How do you get into beta testing games?
I never knew how but always wanted to do it, do you have to know someone in the industry?

Sweet a Microsoft beta tester, I bet that would be exciting. I'm going to look into it. I hope there's money in there somewhere.

You can keep most of the products, which can range from $20 - $350.
