I think this is a technique a lot of people overlook. Most people today are buying links or doing link exchanges, but this was something I came across and it's a good idea. Link baiting is writing interesting content in order to get people to link to you, as in they want to show other people your site because they think it is interesting. I think that is the best way to get link, because first it means that you have good content, and second it means people want other people to see it. Of course, you need to do link exchanges and other things of the sort first so you can get good search engine rankings so people can see your content.

Yeah. The problem is getting seen first by other webmasters. Its hard to get a website off the ground when first starting.

Tell me about it, it is hard. In today's fast paced world, one has to turn to erratic strategies to get seen.

Seems like a good idea but like what was said above, you have to get people to see your site first......

Well even if you don't have a lot of links, if you're content is still great, it can get into search engines. Also, if you post your articles on forums or submit them to article submission sites, and people like them, then you can get links.

It doesn't matter how good your content is if nobody sees it. I think in the beginning of a site some advertising is needed, but it shouldn't be used that much once your site is established.

The thing about great content is, you link bait and it helps you with SEO. I try to write good content, but I'm only one man.
