Depending on what kind of site you have, offline ads can be a great way to promote your site. First off, if your site is a content site / blog site that makes money just from AdSense, or has no way of making money, it is definately not wise to even look into offline advertising. You should consider marketing your site(s) offline if you sell a product or service. If you advertise a site that doesn't fit that category, it's basically useless.

Television ads are usually out of reach for many webmasters. Not only are they expensive to produce, but they are also expensive to air. The best offline advertising method is through small magazines that your target market reads (for example, if you sell flowers, a magazine whose readers are mostly homemakers). This kind of advertising is efficient and focused and only qualified prospects are seeing the ad.

Small magazine ads are also favorable for the small online business because:

-They are cheap to produce

-Ad space is relatively cheap to purchase in small magazines (especially if you buy a lot of advertising, which is necessary, because frequency generates sales)

-Only your target market sees the ad

-It is overall easier to develop

You could also advertise in the newspaper through small black and white ads, but it's less efficient and more expensive (but it does reach more people).
