I was wondering, how do you browse this forums? Do you go forum by forum looking for new posts or you just go and click "New Posts" to display the latest posts?

That's what I usually do.

I look through the forums that I'm interested in and post in topics where I want to learn more or have something helpful to say.

I goto each forum area and post on what interests me the most. I generally try to find posts that do not have many answers.

Yeah, that's probably the most efficient way, and that's how I do it.

I suppose the "New Posts" thing is good but a lot of what comes up are topics that I don't know anything about, that's the downside.

I hit new posts, then look at which forum it's in. If it's in a forum I care about/know anything about then I see if the topic is worthwhile.
