Hey just wondering if anyone has used Adwords before, and if they have any tips?

Yes. adwords are effective for targetted audiences. You can narrow down the search so that you *only* get people looking for what you want.

Just very targetted keywords so you don't waste your money.

I've used this before. You have to target specific keywords, think about them long and hard before you spend any money. The clicks that come from it will either be targetted and stay or leave as soon as they get there depending on the keywords you use.

Yeah, with AdWords, you have to be careful. Each click can cost you upwards of $0.20, or over $1 if the keyword is competitive. I've never used AdWords though, I have no need to with the site I have right now.

Yeah, that's what keeps me off using AdSense. So many people just click ads because they like the site and want to give it money, or the owner tells people to click ads. The thing is, Google usually never knows, unless the guy tells so many people to click the CTR goes up over 33% (1 in 3 people clicking ads is way too high).
