Anyone here work from home selling software or other web business? I'd like to in the future and hopefully make more than I do now!

I've read success stories, but sadly that isn't me just yet - I use part time development/websites to fund my studies!

Same here. I've read a lot of success stories but have never actually been able to quit my regular job and "work from home". Be careful not to get wrapped up in those scams floating about.

I'm trying to build up a site and just make lots of money a month from the ads. I mean, so many other people do it, why can't I? I'm already partially optimized for some keywords.

That is the right attitude to have kaabi, but you wont get anywhere by copying what has already been created.

For every success, there are hundreds of half-assed "clones" trying to cash in.

Originality is the key to online success IMO, or alternatively look for a niche. That is what I do with my sites.

All of my content is original, ALL OF IT. In fact, I haven't even paid anybody to creat some for me, I have a lot of articles on my site and I wrote them all. I think I deserve success, unlike those people who have those "AdSense Ready" sites, and they're making hundreds, it's not fair.

Yes, you have to stay original. Success takes a long time though, just be patient.

To answer the original question, no. I would love to aspire to a work from home business.

If I wanted to, yes I could. I can usually find plenty of software that actually pays you to buy it after rebates and then you can profit further by selling it to someone.

Just bought a free wireless router by Linksys (wrt-GL) and plan on selling the laser printer it came with for more than i paid for shipping/after rebate price. *shrug* It's cake.

And if you do a lot of that, you can make a business out of it. I'd like to make a living off my site, but I'd definately have to redesign it and spend more money.

One day I will be as lucky as some of you and your friends are. I want to stay at home and earn $ even at night while I sleep.

That's the dream, earning while you sleep. That's why I want my website to become successful, so I can know those freak insomniacs are up at 2:00am, drinking coffee, clicking my ads with their horribly, horribly red-eyes.
