What is the best promotion you have ever done for your website? I mean the marketing or promotion that brought the most visitors/sales.

I did several advertisments on a large site that was related to mine. That was the best advertisement I did.

Signature advertising. It works surprisingly well. I also play a game and my name is my website, and that brings in a lot of traffic.

I don't know, I think I'll put my site in there soon. After all, it will create more links to my site and maybe I'll get some traffic.

For forums, do contests. That is teh best way to get lost of posts

That is true, and contests also work off forums, as a simple way to get traffic. I want to do one, but I'm afraid someone will cheat at it.

Now the best promotion I'm doing is StumbleUpon, it's working out great. I recommend it to anyone trying to promte their site, and you don't even need to pay money to get traffic.

The Crazy One
by far domain name contests. I have a contest where a person needs to make 50 posts or 100 entries on my topsite, and bahm, done the next day.
