You could always buy text links back to your site. A lot of websites sell them and a lot are pretty cheap for what you get in return. Also submit your website to directories. There is a thread on here that has a link to a huge list of free directories. These will all link to you with reciprocation and improve your PR rating. I would not buy into link farms or anything like that though.

Link farms hurt your PR and search engine rankings, trust me, Google knows about them. That term sounds so bad... "link farm", yuck.

Search engine directory submission
Forum signature link
Article submission
Press release
Etc.
There are number of ways to acquire one way links. Reciprocal links are becoming less and less valuable, and you really can't achieve higher rankings just by exchanging links.

Yes, one way links are important, but reciprocal links help too. Directory submissions are very popular, and there is lots of software to help with completing the tedious task.

I don't need any software to get directory submissions done. I do it with my money! I fear [tedious] labor.

Well I mean software that fills out the forms and takes you to directory sites. You still overview the whole thing so nothing goes wrong.
