Since I am creating several webpages and some will use a lot of resources I bought a virtual server. It is nice although not as nice as a complete server. The cost is $39.95 a month. How much does your host cost per month?

Thats quite cheap actually. Does that mean you are using that server similar to a reseller plan?
I pay $20/month for a reseller plan. 5GB of space and 30GB bandwidth.

I have 1and1 currrently...no actually I didn't know any better when I signed up. I get 100GB of space and 1,000GB of traffic for $9.99 per month. The only real downside is they limit your MySQL database sizes to 100MB max. Which turns into a problem way before you get close to the bandwidth limit. I'm in the process of looking for new hosting now.

I'm using 1and1 right now. I get 100gb of space and 1000gb of traffic for $9.99 per month. The only problem is that they limit your MySQL databases to 100mb max size. That is starting to become a problem. I'm currently looking for a new host.

Sorry for being a bit off topic here but I though a resseler hosting plan is about 100 bucks or something. Where did you find 20 bucks only?

I host with surftown, i got the very first basic pack but it has all i need realy and is very very complete. I pay 24.87£ a year which is perfect

I pay about 4.95. I got a plan from a friend who owns a server.
Reseller accounts are pretty cheap. They are still a virtual domain account, not a complete server that you have root access to.

Im paying 99$ a month.
I get a dedicated server with Plesk 8 installed.
50GB of space and 1.5TB of bandwidth.
and it came with php 5 and mysql 4.1

I dislike paying monthly, what I tend to do with my sites is buy 12 months hosting and see how successful they get. If the site takes off at any point, I can upgrade the plan or move to dedicated server.
I usually use centrica hosting on ebay - $9.95 or £5.99 if you are from the UK :) it is unlimited hosting/bandwidth - of course this isn't true at all, if you read their TOS they are pretty limiting, however it does for the majority of my requirements! Control panel etc. is nice and you get mysql databases too - I wonder how they make a profit!
