When you first started programming? I was 13 or 14 when I first made "real" programs. I was about 7 or 8 using Basic in DOS.

never made a decent program... just taught how to use C++ and visual basics but that's about it... never made a real one since I'm not really a programmer...

When I had my first computer, that was in 1997, I was in high school then and we are learning how to use Pascal and Foxpro, if you know that programs yet.

My first ever program which really made me happy is a program that says Hello World when you start the computer. Then we were made to make a program that inputs values to variables and then calculate it depending on what you like. In those days, if you have a 3.5" floppy disk, you are quite cool already for the common disk back then was a 5" floppy disk, that's from the Philippines.

I learned HTML in 9th grade at high-school. I started programming a year later in C#. That makes me around 15 when I started.

I'm only 18 now though.

1989: 16 years old: I learned Qbasic and then Pascal. I used Pascal to write Yahtzee and Mastermind programs that I still sometimes play.

Wow, 7 or 8, that is young! I didn't even start fiddling till I was 13, and I'm basically at the same skill level now as I was then.
