Hello,
I have a friend who bought a site. She got the name change, but that is it. He signed a legal document, but then skipped town...If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

You shure your friend didn't just buy a domain and misunderstood, if not then i suggest getting a lawyer if it's about a large sum of money.

It was for a business... He sent her proof of supposedly what he was making with it... He still has it up, but the name is in her name, but the site is going by him...

If she has the name she can have it moved to a different domain or get administer rights from the server owner. Has all of the registrar info been changed to her? Have you done a nslookup on the domain?

What is the domain name?
You do a whois lookup. Check http://www.whois.net
You can find all the info you need from that. If you don't care about the contents of the website you can change the Name Servers to a different server.

Thats good then. If her name is the name of the administrator the hosting company could be contacted and she can get full control. If it is not, have her contact the registrar and change it.

You may have to contact the registrar for that. I couldn't find any info on google. Perhaps Lop, Crane or Ronin may know.

Hello
I am still working on it. The guy just tried to sell a similar site on bizbuysell and so I contacted them. He tried to sell a site for 30k. He said it was doing 4k a month and it didnt even have any traffic going to the site. So they kicked him off. I don't want anyone else to get taken by him. I am sure he is going to try and sell a site for big $$$.
Well now that I am done with getting him kicked off there, I am trying to figure out what to do about my site. I did figure out that the server is Yahoo, so I might try and contact them next week.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks
