I'm new to php, i know may way around it but would like to start from scratch and learn everything about it.

A few days ago i had a quick glance at the available books in the library and there where alot, varying from novice to expert.

My question to anyone here is, can anyone recommend me a novice php book that they themselfs have read and found usefull ?

Hmm. I started using PHP by learning from free web tutorials. Once I'd become comfortable with it I bought some books. If you like, I'll post those here once I'm at work tomorrow although they are not novice books.

Well i don't use webtutorials because they only teach you specific parts, they don't have a learning curve or lessons.
Well the fact is that i do know some php but i know bits and pieces, sometimes i know things that are considered advanced but sometimes i don't even know some basic functions.

But thanks for your help.

Best book i've ever read.
