Hi there,
do you believe in Open Source? Do you think that open source software is as good as commercial one? For instance, do you think that OpenOffice is as good as MS Office? Let's talk about this :)

I think open source has its cons and pros.
Pros:
Free (biggest)
Customizable
usually multi-platformed

Cons:
Usually always in beta or alpha
Often buggy
Lacking Support and/or documentation

It would be hard to choose between the two if I had a choice of two applications to choose from one being open source and one being paid. I guess it would depend on Who made it, what it does and what its for (mission critical or webmail).

I like Open Source very much, if there are dedicated people working on the project you can have very nice results that are even better than there paid for counter part. But most Open Software isn't as good as software you pay for, that's obvieous, but i will support it.
