I use aplus.net only for domain registration. It isn't the best but isn't the worst. Domain registration is only $8 per year.
Features: Control panel, can bundle with hosting
Downside: Support isn't always helpful and can leave helpdesk requests unanswered.

depends on the domain extention (.eu is more expensive then .info for example) but around 8 $ although when ordering more then one domain at a time you get a discount on several domains and they tend to do special actions where domains are cheaper.

I use Godaddy and Namecheap.
80% are at Godaddy, the rest at NC.
I do prefer Godaddy's interface though.

So aplus.net is not recommended for using as just a registrar?

I use a variety of people, I usually prefer to pay with paypal as I do not like credit cards (Only have debit cards, I'm rather strict with my finances!)
As I'm in the UK, I tend to use
http://www.123-reg.co.uk
However, godaddy, 1and1, namecheap also seem reputable.
I tend to agree with the larger the company the more secure, especially with something domain names, where data is collected!
