Exclamation Visual Studio 2010 Express Beta 2 Registration!!!

    Hello All,

I have Visual Studio 2010 Express Beta 2 and I need to register, but I don't know how!

I go to Help>Register Product. Then I click Register now for all the benefits (along the lines of that anyway) and it takes me to my Windows Live sign in, I sign in and fill out the form (not many changes in my details from the 2008 version) then I click continue-it then gives me a page saying something like resources. The link is:

    Microsoft Express Resources

There is nowhere else to go from there except to stuff I don't want.

I have like 108 days left but still I want to know how before then.

Do I have to buy Professional or something?

    Any help would be great!

It is in Beta stage. I think Beta ends in 108 days? I am not quite sure but that is what it looks like to me. (I just downloaded it too). Not sure if this will stay free forever.

Nice knowing someone understands! When did you get it?

I got mine a while ago but still.

I have the same problem. Now I can't even open the program. At start up it says to register. But then takes me to Resources page.

    According to MSDN:
"3. TIME-SENSITIVE SOFTWARE. The software will stop running 240 days after you install it or on April 15, 2010, whichever comes first.
You will not receive any other notice. You may not be able to access data used with the software when it stops running."
Not sure why it's messing you up early, The Microsoft site says:
Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2010 Express requires that you register
your evaluation copy within 30 days of installation.
But is this what you're prompted with?
    http://www.microsoft.com/express/support/regins/

The instructions seem to lie there (it lists logging in to Live etc).
Be sure to read the updated FAQ || Health is achieved through 10,000 different steps.
A textual description can be only part of your question, be sure to provide sample results, errors and your platform in the appropriate forums while asking.

Then I have to uninstall Visual Studio. I don't plan to buy it. That is why I hate Microsoft!

Re: Visual Studio 2010 Express Beta 2 Registration!!!

I figured it put a couple of months ago, (didn't know this thread was still going!). I got Visual C++ 2010 Express. The proper one (not beta). After filling out the form, goto email lists (link at the bottom) and get an email with the code.

    Hope it helps anyone.
