    Re: iMac

I don't have an iMac but I've seen it plenty of times and just saw it the other day in a retail store and tried it out quickly. It's a brilliant all-in-one; it's probably the best kind of desktop computer you could buy, and it's priced relatively affordable to be honest; considering the specs included with the new 21.5- and 27-inch iMac's Apple released fall last year.

I've used an Apple keyboard before as I originally owned a Mac mini early last year - and it's the best thing I've ever typed on. Obviously the keys are isolated into their own bracket which means precise and comfortable typing for long periods, and they're quiet during use too. The Magic Mouse I've used recently and I must say it's a unique mouse, but the ergonomics of the mouse you really need to get use to and use properly. Mouses that have a low profile design, like the Magic Mouse, aren't held with your palm, instead its simply held nearer to the back end of the mouse, so you can naturally push the mouse properly. Younger people will use the mouse fine, but older people I don't think will like the very low profile design.

The only thing with having a Mac is at the moment (this may change in the future), there is no application available for the Mac operating system that connects to the Windows Live Network and has support for audio and video (webcam support, in other words), except there is a built-in application called iChat but only works with the AOL IM network and Google Talk. There's Skype, too, though - and that has audio/video support. Of course, because OS X is becoming increasingly popular I'm sure there will be A/V support for the Windows Live Messenger network later on. Technically, there is aMSN for OS X that supposedly has A/V support for WLM, but when I've used it in Mac OS X Snow Leopard, it doesn't actually work (and I'm sure the same happens for others, too).

In regards to OS X, it's really easy and natural to use - especially when it comes to installing applications, removing them, updating OS X, etc. Everything is a few clicks - OS X is really easy to use. Although there are not as many (by far) applications available for OS X as there are Windows, there's plenty of good quality applications out there and I'm sure more are coming since OS X is becoming more popular as Mac sales are growing. More companies are making Mac versions of their applications, such as Spotify, etc.

    Hope this helps .
