Thread: Google reader offline mode |
Google is never short of ideas, just another proof follows. Firstly it introduces a one spot rss feed reader as google reader, and then when people cry offline, it brings google reader to the desktop, offline. Well, this post comes ages after the feature came out but this is for the man people who have not noticed and are still bussy downloading softwares and addons to read feeds offline.
The feature can be enabled using a green dowload icon beside your email ID on the top right corner of google reader.
The moment you click on the icon, your feeds start getting saved to your system. Give it some time if it is the first time you are doing this. Should not take more than 3 mins. Best thin is, it shows the number of items and the progress as a percentage.

but "anywhere offline" is surely an extender, and yes it works with google gears on firefox only.
And opera feed reader is not above all. It is just the best default on offer.
