I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've sat in front of a CRT 14 inch monitor for about a decade with glasses, and almost no change in my vision. In some cases, an LCD is brighter and can cause MORE eye string than a CRT.

Does this mean LCDs are not generally less stressful for eyes than CRTs?

Re: Ther Problems Of CRT Monitors

My experience is that it is the contrast between the LCD and the ambient light level in the room that causes eye-strain. I have an LCD at home set to minimum brightness, and I still had to reduce the gamma at the graphics card level to get it dim enough for me. The one I use at work is fine. I had a CRT that was so dim I could barely see, and another that worked fine.

If your eyes start to hurt using a monitor, it isn't working for you. Otherwise, no worries.

Well my LCD is so clear. The colors are beautiful.

When i look here on my CRT... Meh, blurry, discolored... LCD is so much easier on my eyes.

Re: Ther Problems Of CRT Monitors

I am glad to say that I finally received my ordered LCD monitor. 19 inch, widescreen with 1440x900 resolution and 60Hz refresh
    19" Asus VW195D czarny - Sklep internetowy Komputronik.pl

I think what Winged said is true, too bright settings cause eye strain. But the display quality is veeeery much better than my old 13 inch CRT.
