Does anyone else find fiber optic cable fascinating; sending data in the form of light? I don't know who thought this up but I commend them. I don't use fiber optic cable in any of my houses, I think they are mainly for businesses.
Well I must admit they are cool! and faster than cables and yeah I think they are mainly for business!
And the reason they are mainly for business is because of the cost! Fiber Optics are impressive and just recently they created plastic fiber optic cables so the price may go down eventually.
When you think about it, it is really ingenious. Pulsing light is binary! On/Off! I admit, I wouldn't have thought of it though.
What a coincidence! The ContentLink ad on the phrase "fiber optic cable" goes to deepsurplus.com, a site I had to visit as part of a homework assignment.
yeah and now they are experimenting of making a CPU with this instead of all those cabels, with just 1 fiber optic cable we could eliminate all those cabels, the problem is that you may have a total mess because if the critical angle is skipped then you will have total internal reflection and the data will be sent back to the CPU and making a total mess! Well lets see if it will become possible, they are still experimenting on it!
