The New Google Icon

What do you think about the new Google icon?

It was inspired by this one: which was created by André Resende. Personally, I think the new one is a bit harder to see the g and on a white background even more unclear.

I really like the one Google uses now. The old one was really ugly.

I was completely confused for a few hours when I started seeing the new icon on my tabs. I couldn't find my google tabs when exploring search results.

What a coincidence !
Same thing happened to me, while I was researching about network mapping, I just looked all over my tabs where is my "google search tab"!
I found it in the end...
