How would your anti-virus stop someone from rooting you?

$126 dollars for a USB hard drive isn't bad, i need to get one or at least a USB thumbdrive to store my code and application settings on.

I use backup to my laptop, and to a stack of dvds. It's cheaper than a usb hard drive.

Less convenient, though? Also, you can't just drag/drop files to a DVD - you can only write/rewrite over the whole thing, unless you format them.

DVD is for long term, once a year backup, I use my laptop for short term, where a script in perl handles it.

I make backups of important stuff once every month which I think is fine for now until I can get a hard drive to store the backups on.

but yeah DVD's aren't that efficient, and I also have some file hosting sites that I put some stuff on.

They're not efficient, but they're cheap (at least where I live).
