Hey guys,
Is there any way to trick this website: FOX on Demand to make it think i'm from america? Without hacking it of course, i thought that some IP change could work. I want to see some episodes from House MD and i can't cause i'm not from the US.That's discrimination.

If you're using FireFox, the Modify Headers addon may let you indicate different settings from your system's.

Do the proxy thing. If you wanna know how they actually manage to tell where you're from, you'll just need to understand something simple:
IP's are indicative of country.
A proxy lets you beat the block because the connection they will actually receive will originate from the US (if you choose a proxy based there, which obviously you should).
Hope this helps.
I like WP's idea... a proxy will make you go a bit slower and usually have a ton of ads... but of course if your using FireFox the ad block plus addon might help... but then again just edit the headers... find something in their about your location and edit it.
It really depends on how the site tells where you are, but I know Firefox just started a thing to give your address (if you give permission) to the site so they know where you are. They might be using that, you can say no or disable it in settings.
I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work. It would be pretty stupid of them to filter by useragent instead of IP, and the only way to beat an IP filter is to use a proxy - after all, if you manually modify source-ip the packages won't return to you.
On the off change that their coders are retarded, though, it might work. And don't discount that before you try!![]()
