Preprocessor in Windows Installer
Hi,
I'm now trying to find an installer for my(windows) application. I've decided that WiX is the most appropriate one. I need a something like preprocessor also in Installer. For example I want to have a possibility to specify some variables and install files according to these variables. Unfortunately, I couldn't find this feature in WiX(( Have I missed something?? If not, could you please suggest another installer.

I like Wise, Install Shield and the MS VS .CAB installer. I know Wise and Install shield have this ability but I am not sure about the MS option.

I'm not much into installers but what you are trying to do is for example getting the OS so for example you read the OS into a variable and if the OS is vista it installs certain files, if it is XP it installs other files..etc??
Are you trying to do something like that?
