I had no issue getting internet on my virtual installation of XP - what OS are you running, and what is the virtual OS?

I've never heard of Freespire so I can't offer much advice, but Ubuntu is a great linux distro with a huge community for support - thats what I run as my primary OS.

I don't like Ubuntu much to say the truth... but when I installed it as a primary OS on my computer I had no problems in getting internet... I just had internet as soon as I installed it, my only problem is that I can't have internet on VMWare.. I have XP installed on VMWare and I still can't get internet on it, so basically I have 2 XP's one running in VMware and one on the PC it's self.. and I can't bridge the network from the main to the vmware XP

Try using NAT.

I tried... still no luck. I have no idea.. it seems complicated, because when I used Microsoft Virtual PC automatically I had internet.. all I had to do was to select my Ethernet Connection.
