I use Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
Primarily I'm using a Mac these days since I replaced my old laptop.
I can see now why u like Firefox. At this very moment there are 5 Browsers opened on my desktop: Firefox, Avant, Int. Ex. , Chrome and Opera. But, considering the surfing speed, I would say that Avant is much much much more faster than the others. I am using Windows XP by the way.
Cheers...

Why the hell would you have 5 web browsers opened at the same time?
That's makes no sense unless you are trying to test some web page you just coded.
I was actually testing the surfing speed of 5 different browsers.

How does Chrome compare to FF?
MathXPert, that is far from being an accurate way to test them.
Yes. It brings a big question between actually efficiency and speed of interface. They are not the same thing but people often equate them as such.
How snappy an interface is depends mostly upon how well concurrency is handled within the program. Firefox 2 seemed to be inefficient because one poorly coded and JS heavy site would bring the entire browser to a grinding halt. Firefox 3 actually uses slightly more resources at start up (though handles heap fragmentation much better) but is snappier as a result.
In any case. It often takes a lot of resources to make an interface snappy and a more clunky interface is often more efficient rather than less.
Firefox 3 is good... sometimes i got problems with cookies but nothing much that old IE can fix! [=
Chrome is better than Firefox 3, it is faster.
Firefox using RAM too many and getting to long for access some site![]()
