avast! is also a good freeware program. Anti-Virus, Firewall, and Data Protection all in one. It's pretty awesome. Go to avast! antivirus software - computer virus, worm and Trojan protection by ALWIL Software It's a pretty sweet deal. It'll keep ya safe from hackers aka - FBI.

Well Opera is quite slow in my opinion.

I'd suggest either firefox, opera or netscape.
Thier all a lot better than IE. But firefox is way safer, and a lot faster. Also you can customize it to your liking. ![]() ---------------- Now playing: Phil Collins - Something Happened On The Way To Heaven via FoxyTunes |

Agreed. The only thing with Firefox is that on my PC while running XP and even Ubuntu it crashes a lot... even after several formats... It's not stable at all, but then on my laptop while running vista it runs perfectly, I can't understand why.

I have had no problems with Firefox stability on XP Home/Pro. Perhaps you have some odd plugins?

Firefox on Linux tends to struggle with Adobe's half baked attempt at porting the flash player to Linux. There is a fix I believe but it isn't easy to apply.

Well neither on Linux nor on XP, at first I did not have any plugins, even after a fresh format it did crash... so seeing that it still crashed a lot then I did install some plugins, I had nothing to loose.
