Programming project platform

For school we have to make a "big" project. We have to do it with 5 people. Exchanging code with a USB is a bit silly so we are looking for a platform that could make life easier for the development of a project.

Some requirements we would like:
- support for multiple programming languages and IDE (especially Visual Studio Pro)
- easy task scheduling
- ability to lock files (so you can make sure you are the only one working on a class for example)
- secure (we don't want other groups stealing our work)
- free
