Visual Studio 2005 Pro Won't Install

It installed perfectly well for me the first time, and after the formatting of my HDD, and when it didn't install, it simply wouldn't launch the setup program.

If my guess is right, then it's just removing some temporary files, which won't kill it if you cancel it (unless it's in the middle, and hasn't copied all of its files yet). However, I can't say my judgement has been particularly good about this.
