    Slave Trade Campaign

Hey guys, please could everybody sign the petition here:

    Abolish the Slave Trade

And while you're at it, what do you think of the layout? The multiple columns in CSS were quite a challenge in IE6 (what my school uses).

It's a History project, if you haven't gathered already (I know some people aren't blessed with my talent).

I signed. Very nice layout. How do you think this petition will help in foreign countries? They can't be petitioned.

We're talking about the Slave Trade that happened in 1600, yeah? It's a History project. -rep

When you sign, the number of signatures in stats doesn't immediately update. There is also no mention of WHICH slave trade is being referred to. Since slave trading still occurs today, it's a touch confusing.

but these days, it's more talk about trafficking than slave trade, even if it's just about the same thing.

Aw, come on. It's only our teacher that's gonna see it anyway!

I know that the stats don't immediately update. I could use AJAX, but it seems like overkill. Perhaps just a META refresh to do the trick.

You could just do a JS update to the text. It doesn't have to be accurate, just show a change by one

Isn't a meta redirect easier... and more accurate?
