Google and Yahoo! Always the top?

Till date Google is the best but we can not predict things, any thing can happen in future. Companies who will keep themselves updated and will continue to come up with new technologies will stay at the top.

Google rate of growth is skyrocketing. They have all this cool innovative technology coming out. You guys think that google will take over the world one day, or the internet? It seems like it already has.

Considering I'm using Chrome right now, and saw that the Js library was loaded from googleapi and this site is indexed using Google's Webmaster's Tool. I would say that GOOG is doing a pretty good job taking over the world... if not the world, at the online world.

It's a shame though that Facebook is going to take it over instead. That just goes to show you that investing in the common mass of people with no skills will make a corporation more money than investing in people with actual skills. Facebook is for anyone, while two-thirds of the people on there are too lazy to Google common misinformation which gets passed around.

FB might take over in the social world, but not the WHOLE online world. What about those people who don't go online just for socializing?

There are some search engines that are starting to compete with Google on quality of results but also on privacy issues. DuckDuckGo is one example.
