Hi,
I'm currently the owner and operator of a site called The Poker Plaza. I'm looking for an entreneurial partner who is interested in a project and willing to do some work on adding content and updating the site. I do all the leg work with supplying content, exchanging links, contacting affiliate managers about setting up exclusive bonuses and private league tournaments. I also have a spreadsheet listing all 160 poker rooms of which I have affiliate accounts set up with every single one of them. A poker player would be great for this position but not neccessary. If anyone is interested in some sort of partnership, drop me a line at riverstevens at hot-maildotcom I would also consider a non-partner pay per change basis Best Regards, Steven Lariviere The Poker Plaza www dot thepokerplaza dot com |

I appreciate your interest. What The Poker Plaza is going to be is virtually a mall for online poker players to find out information on tournaments, sign-up bonuses, merchandise, articles/lessons, a forum, a league, etc. The way the affiliate contracts work with the individual poker rooms is when someone is redirected to a poker room from The Plaza and signs up, we own them for life. Also, when they make a deposit and start playing, The Plaza makes anywhere between 25-40% of the net revenue generated from such player depending on the room. I'm not sure if you're familiar with poker or not, but the house (online poker room) takes a rake (typically 5%) of the pot generated in a hand of poker. These revenues can quickly add up and I’ve had some really great months and some really slow months to be quite honest.
The programmer I was working with didn't work out, she just did not have the experience nor the knowledge to complete the task, hence I am currently seeking somebody. To give you an idea of what is in store, you can have a look at a few poker information sites that I would like to use as models for the various sections of The Plaza. The biggest one is Online Poker Guide - Exclusive Online Poker Bonus Offers, Strategy Articles, and Reviews (whose affiliate revenue per month is close to $150 000), then Online Poker - Free Online Poker Bonus Comparison and Reload Guide (who also make quite a nice profit as there are many players out there taking advantage of the generous sign-up bonuses poker rooms use to convert players to real money players and get them playing at their room) For the league, Online Poker Tour who have done a great job at getting members. There are other information sites that have high traffic ranking and are making some decent revenue. I know their revenues because some of the poker affiliate programs post their top earners per month. I believe if we combine the best things of all the top ranking poker info sites, we can beat them all. Coupled with the great domain name which I acquired years ago, it shouldn't take too long to get things moving. When I first started out, I had a free site on tripod called freerollers@tripod where I listed all the free rolls for the various poker rooms online. When this started to generate a little revenue I started to see the big picture. I acquired the dream weaver software and worked hard at building the website myself. I quickly found out how tough it was to build a website with functionality, etc. and decided to try to find somebody knowledgeable to get it done instead. Well I haven't found anybody yet, though I do keep doing research and collecting the content necessary to give it a boost when I do find someone. I set up exclusive sign up bonuses available to The Plaza's members only. I tried running a league and could have continued it the way I was doing, though I found it quite lame just to have a leader board and have members post in the forum for the passwords to The Plaza's private league tourneys. My alexa traffic ranking got as high as 300k but since the site has been dead and no real changes/improvements have been made, the traffic has slid to just under 1 mill. (alexa ranking). This project I'm sure is going to be time consuming, and I'm willing to do all the leg work and provide content, and negotiations, and still split the revenues down the middle if I find the right person. As I said in posting the ad, this is an entrepreneurial position with no investment required. All that is required is your time and your motivation. I am looking for a long-term partnership with someone that will share as much enthusiasm about the project as I do. If you are still interested or have any questions for me, drop me a line. I'm online a great deal of the time. P.S. The site is written in PHP and the databases are MySql Best Regards, Steven Lariviere The Poker Plaza The Poker Plaza ~ Home |
