Hm... don't know what happened to my last response, as I could've sworn I wrote this up already... anyways, you can *not* alter a CD-RW using only code unless you re-burn the information somehow. It sounds like a dynamic medium, such as a flash drive, is the best way to go.
Midterms are eating my kidneys right now, so the tutorial will likely be a while in coming... Donovan: 1.) I know more advanced code would work better, but I'm also working within the limitations of what I am capable of doing at this point in time. It would take me a while to learn to do C - likely the best language to efficiently do something like this with - so I'm kind of trying to find a middle-ground compromise working mostly with what I know and a bit of what I don't so I can learn. 2.) DOS hack? Nah... this is an attempt to create an auto-executing package that can include whatever media you want with it (e.g. video) that will then self-corrupt/delete once the media has finished. As to your suggestion: A.) Wouldn't I be able to include both of those actions in the same batch file? B.) If I make it read-only, wouldn't that restrict their privileges regarding the file when it comes time to commanding it to delete itself? C.) Didn't you just recommend I get away from batch files? ![]() |

haha
Well I was only trying to help. But yea I sounded a bit mean when I typed that first post. The reason I said to move on to more advanced code is because I am not sure if any basic languages will do advanced things like this. I am also not that advanced I am learning python at the moment. Then I am going into C++ Anyway I hope you find what you are looking for soon. Good Luck!
