Compression
I know (a little) about how compression is done in other programming languages, but I don't think it's done the same way with Python. With other languages, they are compressed when they are compiled, correct? But Python is interpreted (I believe), so how does Python do it?

I believe Java's .jar files are also compressed. All that needs to happen is for the interpreter to decompress the file into memory, and then interpret the code. Whether it actually happens that way in Python or not, I don't know, but it's how I'd probably do it.
