How far can you go? Well any malware (virii, trojans, etc.) you make are going to be completely useless.
You will never be able to code in ring0 which makes rootkit, driver, and OS development impossible. It shouldn't be used for backend server stuff the majority of the times. Many people don't have the python interpreter on their box which will drastically limit the audience of your code. Mmm that's some stuff off the top of my head. |

OK well mate here is my opinion to what you just said.
I don't plan on making any type of malware or anything to do with hacking/cracking. I don't think I want to learn any of that stuff anyway, not really interesting. Why is that? You don't need a python interpreter since you can freeze, something like that, your code making it a exectubale file to run on multiple systems. That is all my answers to your question. You know what I like about you mate? You don't hold nothing behind! You tell everyone anything you can think of. It's great, I wish I could do that. |

Well if you don't want to make malware cool, although most possible do at one point or another.
Lol you don't think rootkits, drivers, and operating system development sound interesting? These are the most powerful types of software that you can build. Complete control over the system. It shouldn't be used for backend stuff usually because of speed issues. Although it is quite a bit faster than other high level languages. And there is pyexe to make a python executable, although it's not all that "pretty". And lol I'm glad you like that. |

I wouldn't. I think of it like this. If I don't like malware being on my computer, why should I make it for other peoples computers.
They aren't really. I don't want to go to the top of edge stuff. Also I am not sticking with Python, I am learning other languages but I am just seeing other peoples opinions on Python. What do you mean by backend stuff? I believe there is more than that. There is also another one which makes it JAVA. LOL. It's a good thing to have. At least then you won't be like, I wish I would have said that. |

Your logic is flawed. Example, I don't like giving people money, but I like getting it.
I see, the more difficult topics are more fun, atleast they are to me. Backend stuff is like data access, data organization, mail managing, all the stuff you don't see going on, but is important to your network functioning correctly. Okay, regardless of how many there is, they make a bloated as EXE. And making it Java... LOL. |

I don't have a big vocabulary LOL even though I am in a high English class and am going really good at it xD
I could give out money but I couldn't take it back. But if people give me something I don't want, I don't want to give to someone else since I didn't like it. Oh, yer I thought so. Yer but Python can also be mixed in with other languages such as C. So basically a big file? There are new methods that are ment to be faster then C.... What is that funny xD? |

Vocabulary != Logic
Your next point is irrelevant, you've exited the scope of the argument. I realize it can be, but I'm talking about python alone. Big File != Speed Also link to these 'methods'? It's funny because Java is itself bloaty because of the JVM. |

Ehh learning C/C++ is in my opinion always the best option for noobs. Shows them what programming really is. Nothing holding your hand.
Alright, I doubt the credibility of that source. |
