I agree with some points dirkfirst makes that PHP does Suck however I think that overall it is the best web scripting language.

The one point I do agree is the naming convention. Why didn't they use a standard? lol.......

True, while my comparison against Java may not be valid it still sucks. Read the other flaws! You ever seen a language that appears to not even be thought out? It looks like they threw three monkeys in a room and made them develop PHP randomly.

But so many people like PHP, and it's the most popular web development language on the Internet; well, next to HTML. I think it's a good language, from what I know about it.
