Default Autoposter for phpbb3. How?!

Hello!
I am trying to make autoposter script for phpbb3. I want to automatically post new topics with news from RSS. I made a little experiment - tried to insert row in phpbb_posts and phpbb_topics table. Everything is fine, post is visible, but total posts count doesn't change. Any suggestions? Somebody to know ready to use script or class to do it?

Default Re: Autoposter for phpbb3. How?!

I've considered making an auto poster script to greet people when they come to a forum that I run and post in a certain section on a new thread, but the problem with such scripts are that they are easy to modify to spam boards instead of be helpful. Thats why I never made such a script.

Maybe someone else will help you, but I feel that such scripts can lead to intensive spamming of a forum, good or bad.

However, for what you want to do, You could probably make a forum section and tie it directly to rss for updates. I think that you would need to modify the view_topic.php file to where it loads that section, load a custom module that loads from rss. Thats where I'd start.
