This is a pretty Basic tutorial, I will show you how to make Text on Fire
So the 1st Step to this is creating a new Layer with a Black Backround. Now type some text and change its color to orange, then create a new Layer by pressing the Small Layer Icon at the bottom of your Layers Tab.
You may choose to add some Effects to your text like I did, simply click on the Text Layer and it will bring up the Effects Console, or click on the Small F Icon at the bottom of your Layers Tab.
On "Blending Options: Custom" I set the Opacity to 85% and the Fill Opacity to 89%.
I selected the Drop Shadow checkbox and set it's Opacity to 75%, the angle at 120 Degrees. The size 5 Pixels and 0% Noise.
Also I have Bevel and Emboss Selected. Technique is set to smooth the Style is Inner Bevel. The Size again is 5 Pixels the angle at 120 Degrees by 30 Deg Gloval Light. The Gloss Contour is "Ring" Style. Highlight Mode Opacity to 75% and Shadow Mode Opacity to 75% also.
On the new Blank Layer you created previously go to Filter --> Render --> Clouds. You should now have a smooky Backround on your new Layer. Now go to Filter --> Sketch --> Chrome. And set the Detail and Smoothness both to 6.
After you Chrome it, on the Blending Mode set to "Normal" by default, right under your Layer's Tabs. Set the Blending Mode to Dodge
Now Select the Text Layer and Duplicate it, then Merge it with a Blank Layer.
Now Make 3 Copys of that Layer. Then Select the 1st COPIED Layer, not the Original layer. And go to Filter --> Blur --> Motion Blur. And make the settings like so.
Select the 2nd Copy of the Same Layer and go to the same Setting, but this time change the Degrees to -40
On the 3rd Copy make it 0 Degrees.
Now Merge all 4 Layers and go to Filter --> Blur --> Gaussian Blur. And set it to 5.4 or 9.0. Now go back to your Text Layer and move it to the top, under the Smoky Layer. Set a Color if you'd like. And that's it, enjoy.
Final Product...
