What exactly PARL is ????

Anyone please explain what PARL language is all about. Whether it is object oriented or Proceedure oriented and what type of applications or programmes are developed using it. Waiting for your replies.....

Perl can be Object Oriented or not. You can program almost anything with perl, but in general it's not used for stuff like video games or other programs that use lots of intensive graphic processing.

perl is practical extraction and reporting language.

It is generally used to write programs that return information to web browsers, however it can be used to automate tasks on windows, such as opening MS Word, pasting text, formatting it etc...
