hi i am new to pascal can you tell me what is this actually and this is based on what technologies
should we have any basic knowledge of anything like oops or so
There are several flavors of Pascal:
Pascal, TurboPascal, Object-Pascal, Delphi, and Lazarus.
Pascal is probably 40 years old by now. TurboPascal was created by Borland to add features for programming on DOS. Object-Pascal added object-oriented programming concepts to Pascal. Delphi added a set of GUI and database components to Object-Pascal (it was produced by Borland, along with Kylix for Linux, but is now spun off to CodeGear. Support for Kylix was dropped). Lazarus is an open-source copy of Delphi.
There is also a .NET version of Delphi.
Of course you definitely need to have some oop concept to start with Delphi, Lazarus
Thanks
