For those of your interested, Microsoft has released Beta 2 of their Visual Studio 2008 Express Editions. The 2008 version uses .NET 3.5 and is code named Orcas. An important note is the CLR engine will remain the same as version 2005 (version 2.0). The major differences in this version from the last are the enhancements made to each languages C# (3.0) and Visual Basic (version 9). The 2008 version will be a superset of the 2005 version so there will be no need to have both installed (Although this is supported).

I hadn't realized we were on .NET 3.5 . I feel so far behind, our company just started migrating over to 2.0
I am the same, I just recently upgraded to 2.0 and learned about 3.0! This .NET versioning is getting ridiculous.
